Bear Creek had to endure a five-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on the D'Evelyn Jaguars with a sharp 10-4 win on Thursday. The Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Jaguars, too.
Ayden Brown made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Brown was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Bear Creek got a massive performance out of Brandon Adams-Anders, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Adams-Anders a new career-high in doubles (two). Matt Hegerle was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run.
The victory got Bear Creek back to even at 1-1. As for D'Evelyn, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.
