It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Montour Spartans can now relate to. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 28-14 to McKeesport. Montour's loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
Daniel Batch and Keino Fitzpatrick ii certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Batch picked up 121 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Fitzpatrick ii rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. Batch's longest reception was for an incredible 87 yards.
Montour's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for McKeesport, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Montour does not have any more games scheduled as of now. McKeesport also has no future games currently scheduled.
