Roosevelt came into Friday's game looking for another win against Poly, but Jao Libunoa wouldn't allow it. Poly had just enough and edged out Roosevelt 3-2 on Friday thanks in part to Libunoa, who had 30 digs and two aces. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 13.4 digs per game.

Poly took Roosevelt into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-17, 25-15, 22-25, 22-20.

The victory made it two in a row for Poly and bumps their season record up to 8-1. As for Roosevelt, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-2.

Coming up, Poly will venture away from home to face off against Verdugo Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Roosevelt, they will host Huntington Park at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
