On Friday, The Eaglecrest Raptors faced the Legacy Lightning in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Eaglecrest lost to Legacy on the road by a decisive 28-14 margin. Eaglecrest was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Legacy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2019.
Legacy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyler Anderson led the charge by rushing for 193 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Omari Bursey, who gained 54 total yards and three touchdowns.
Legacy's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Eaglecrest's QB won't forget Bursey anytime soon given Bursey sacked him four times.
Eaglecrest's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Legacy, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 7-4.
Eaglecrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Legacy also has no future games currently scheduled.
