The Elgin Academy Hilltoppers lost against the North Shore Country Day Raiders back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Elgin Academy took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders. Elgin Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Elgin Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rahul Gowda, who scored 13 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Tacher, who scored 11 points.
Elgin Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season. As for North Shore Country Day, their win bumped their record up to 5-11.
Elgin Academy will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Maroons at 6:30 p.m. As for North Shore Country Day, they will head out on the road to take on the Hilltoppers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
