2A District 10 recap October 22, 2013
St. James took down South Plaquemines 35-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Lowell Narcisse threw for 175 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 59 yards during the win.
The Wildcats made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,990 from 8,985. The improvement was largely due to a 35-0 victory over the Hurricanes last week.
St. James' dynamic duo of Narcisse and Rashaan Dennis proved to be unstoppable against South Plaquemines, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. D'Kwan Sandolph helped St. James' passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 76 yards.
He was 7-15 with 0 interceptions.
Devante Turner made the biggest impact on defense this week as Wright lost to Carver. The 5-foot-10 defensive end grabbed 1 interception, forced 1 fumble, recorded 1 fumble and racked up 1 sack.
Thanks to the talents of Deuce Wallace and Hardell Mack, Riverside has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Wallace is tops in the league in passing with 1,400 yards, while Mack has rushed for 332 yards this season. Dwain Jenkins' team's Sandolph leads the league in receiving yards with 607 on 29 catches.
At the moment, the Wildcats are in fifth, while Wright is in third.
The Rams led 2A District 10 in scoring this week after putting up 50 points on Brian Glover's team.
