Basketball Recap: West Florida Baptist Academy Piles Up the Points Against Aletheia Christian Academy

A well-balanced attack led West Florida Baptist Academy over Aletheia Christian Academy in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors blew the Aletheia Christian Academy Lions out of the water with an 81-43 final score. The Conquerors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.

Shepard Brown was his usual excellent self, going 13 for 24 on his way to 29 points and five steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Pearce, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.

Aletheia Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kendrick Williamson, who went 6 of 12 en route to 15 points. That was a full 34.9% of Aletheia Christian Academy's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Beau Burke, who put up nine points and seven rebounds.

West Florida Baptist Academy's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Aletheia Christian Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.

West Florida Baptist Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 62-38 victory against Pensacola Christian Academy on the 17th. Aletheia Christian Academy has also already played their next contest, a 56-51 win against Central Christian on the 17th.
