Columbia Central had a senior duo take command as Saviya Morgan scored 19 points along with 7 steals and 6 rebounds and Kiyanah Edwards scored 18 points along with 6 steals. The game was Morgan's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Tionna Davis was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
Columbia Central's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Hillwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbia Central will challenge Blackman at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Blackman is ranked 23rd, while Columbia Central is ranked 11th). Hillwood will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on East Nashville Magnet at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th.
