Beaver has gone a perfect 5-0 against Parowan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 4:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Parowan will be up against a hot Beaver team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Beavers really took it to Enterprise for the full four quarters, racking up a 55-20 win. The Beavers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 31 points or more this season.
Davin Orton had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 104 yards, while also throwing for 70 yards and a pair of TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Beaver was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 407 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.
Special teams also played a big role in the game for Beaver, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Maverick Albrecht, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Parowan). Everything went their way against North Sevier last Friday as they made off with a 42-20 victory. The Rams not only won last Friday, but they posted their biggest win since August 22nd (when they won 39-14).
Beaver better keep an eye on Tyrel Vest. He was instrumental in Parowan's win, rushing for 162 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Vest also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making seven total tackles (0.5 for loss) and defending one pass.
Beaver's record now sits at 8-2. As for Parowan, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 4-6.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Beaver has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 259.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Parowan struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 168.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Beaver against Parowan in their previous matchup on October 3rd, as the team secured a 55-14 victory. In that contest, the Beavers amassed a halftime lead of 28-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
