Northridge is 2-8 against Thompson Valley since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Northridge Grizzlies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Thompson Valley Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Northridge is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home.
Last Tuesday, Northridge came up short against Skyline and fell 61-54.
Northridge's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Lincoln Lyons, who scored nine points along with 19 rebounds and five steals, and Drake Walker who scored 20 points along with two steals and two blocks. Walker is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Louis Pisano, who scored nine points along with six steals.
Meanwhile, Thompson Valley pushed their score all the way to 62 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 71-62 to Severance.
Northridge has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Thompson Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
Northridge was dealt a bruising 71-43 loss at the hands of Thompson Valley in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Thompson Valley's Brady Kennison, who scored 33 points along with five rebounds.
