Potomac Senior is 9-1 against Gar-Field since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Potomac Senior Panthers are on the road again and plays the Gar-Field Red Wolves at 5:30 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Potomac Senior is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Gar-Field in Virginia (Potomac Senior is ranked 146th, while Gar-Field is ranked 306th).
On Tuesday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Potomac Senior had to settle for a 53-51 loss against Charles J. Colgan.
Meanwhile, Gar-Field managed to keep up with Freedom until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Gar-Field was beaten by Freedom 56-28. Gar-Field was down 38-16 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Potomac Senior's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Gar-Field, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-13.
Potomac Senior took their victory against Gar-Field in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 50-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for Potomac Senior since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
