The Modesto Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight defeat. They fell 70-58 to Enochs. Modesto has struggled against the Eagles recently, as their game on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Modesto had strong showings from Phillip Gonder, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds, and Andrew Poulsen, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Ross-Sherrod, who scored five points along with two steals.
Modesto has been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 16 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. As for Enochs, their victory bumped their record up to 11-14.
Modesto will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Knights at 7:30 p.m. That match will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Reuben Lewis and Gonder. As for Enochs, they will head out on the road to take on the Pride at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Pitman presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Eagles in California (the Pride are ranked 277th, while the Eagles are ranked 617th).
