Meanwhile, Treasure Coast's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 41-23 to Lincoln Park Academy. While losing is never fun, Treasure Coast can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while Lincoln Park Academy is ranked 64th).
Sebastian River's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Treasure Coast, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.
Sebastian River came up short against Treasure Coast in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 38-32. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Treasure Coast's Reniah Flynn, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
