J.F. Webb was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .629. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Durham School of the Arts was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 28th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 17-13 to Southern School of Energy and Sustainability.
Arianna Dillon was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Aniah Satterfield was another key player, scoring four runs while going 3-for-4.
J.F. Webb has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Durham School of the Arts, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.
