Donna is 0-8-2 against Porter since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Donna Redskins will head out on the road to challenge the Porter Cowboys at 5:30 p.m. Porter took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Donna, who comes in off a win.
Even though Donna has not done well against Harlingen South recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Donna never let Harlingen South onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. That two goal margin sets a new team best for Donna this season.
Meanwhile, Porter fell victim to Lopez's stalwart defense on Tuesday and couldn't make it onto the board. They fell just short of the Lobos by a score of 1-0. It was the first time this season that Porter let down their fans at home.
The victory makes it two in a row for Donna and bumps their season record up to 3-5-2. As for Porter, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-2-2.
Donna suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Porter when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Can Donna avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
