The Huntley Project Red Devils had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 54 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They strolled past Joliet with points to spare, taking the game 35-20. Huntley Project pushed the score to 35-6 by the end of the third, a deficit Joliet cut but never quite recovered from.
Joliet's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tucker Lind, who rushed for 146 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries. Another player making a difference was Townes Catron, who picked up 114 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Huntley Project has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Joliet, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Huntley Project will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Joliet does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
