Silver Valley had a rough outing against Kern Valley last Friday, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Everything went Silver Valley's way against Nuview Bridge on Friday as they made off with a 39-8 win. Silver Valley was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Silver Valley's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 39 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Nuview Bridge couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 39-0 heading into the break. Silver Valley were outperformed in the second half 0-8 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the game. The victory bumped their record up to 0-2. The loss dropped Nuview Bridge's record to 0-2.
Silver Valley will look to defend their home turf next week against Mountain Empire at 6:30 PM. Silver Valley continues their travels as they hit the road for the second straight contest. As for Nuview Bridge, they will face off against Big Bear.
