Adamson is 7-2 against Jefferson since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Adamson Leopards will look to defend their home court against the Jefferson Patriots at 7:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Adamson and six for Jefferson.
Last Tuesday, Adamson had to suffer through a rough 64-15 loss at the hands of Wilson. Adamson has struggled against Wilson recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Jefferson took a serious blow against White on Tuesday, falling 96-19. While losing is never fun, Jefferson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1472nd, while White is ranked 72nd).
The last time Adamson won on the road was back last Tuesday. Having now lost four straight away games, they've bumped their record down to 1-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.0 points per game. As for Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
Adamson couldn't quite finish off Jefferson in their previous meeting back in January and fell 57-54. Can Adamson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
