The South Central Falcons waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 45-38 win over D.H. Conley. Given South Central's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while D.H. Conley is ranked 374th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Isaiah Godley was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Ean Behm was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
South Central's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. As for D.H. Conley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Central on the road again on Wednesday and play against New Bern at 8:00 p.m. on January 24th. New Bern is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 61 points per game. As for D.H. Conley, they will head out on the road to take on Havelock at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
