While losing is never fun, Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1260th, while Tennyson is ranked 572nd).
Meanwhile, University Prep Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 52 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Summit Tahoma 59-32 on the road. University Prep Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 24 points or more this season.
Meshack Juma and Anthony Hamoud were among the main playmakers for University Prep Academy as the former scored 13 points and the latter scored 14 points.
Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for University Prep Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
