Vernon managed to slip by Pequannock the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Vikings came up short against the Golden Panthers on Thursday, falling 14-3. The Vikings' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Aden Karwoski was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Pequannock, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Vernon will challenge Wallkill Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Pequannock, they will take on Clifton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Golden Panthers are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
