Last Tuesday, Tri-County Academy beat Carroll Academy 46-34. The win made it back-to-back wins for Tri-County Academy.
Tri-County Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Madye Bath out in front who scored 15 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Bath has scored at least 25% of Tri-County Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Coleman, who scored 8 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Parklane Academy suffered a rough 57-35 loss at the hands of Jackson Prep on Thursday.
Despite the loss, Parklane Academy saw an underclassman step up: Zoe Alford scored 21 points. Alford scored a full 60% of Parklane Academy's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Tri-County Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Parklane Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Keep an eye on the arc in Monday's contest: Tri-County Academy have been dynamite from deep this season, having only made 32.3% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Parklane Academy, though, as they've only made 7.6% of theirs this season. Given Tri-County Academy's sizeable advantage in that area, Parklane Academy will need to find a way to close that gap.
