University has won 12 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Valley has won 12 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The University Bulldogs will host the Valley Vikings at 6:00 p.m. University is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.2 points per game this season.
University will bounce into Wednesday's match after beating Lutheran, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. University came out on top against Lutheran by a score of 51-39 last Tuesday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Lions are ranked 98th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

University got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Janay Kravig out in front who posted 13 points along with five boards and three steals. Kravig has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Allizzey Madrigal, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 13 points in addition to five boards and five steals.
University was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lutheran only racked up eight assists.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valley). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat The Pinnacle 62-7. With the Vikings ahead 44-2 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Valley's win came from a few key players University will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Nevaeh Jimenez, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Alivia Lawing, who went 8 of 12 on her way to 21 points.
University's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Valley, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: University has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 29.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything went University's way against Valley in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as University made off with a 54-34 victory. Does University have another victory up their sleeve, or will Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
