After a string of 14 wins, Westview's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Huntingdon Mustangs by a score of 5-4. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

CD Damron made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Cooper Spaulding was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Westview's loss dropped their record down to 15-2. As for Huntingdon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westview will host University School of Jackson at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Huntingdon, they will be playing at home against Waverly Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
