While Bordentown's win against Maple Shade wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Bordentown sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Maple Shade on Wednesday. The three-run effort marked the Scotties' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The team relied heavily on Nick Carlini, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That double was his first of the season.

Bordentown's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bordentown will square off against Northern Burlington at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maple Shade, they will challenge Cinnaminson at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
