Paradise Honors is 6-0 against Shadow Mountain since January of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Lizzy Guincho and Morgan Van Dyke were among the main playmakers for Paradise Honors as the former posted 14 points along with seven steals and six boards and the latter had 12 points and eight steals. Van Dyke is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Leal, who put up 11 points.
Paradise Honors smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in nine consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Shadow Mountain lost 44-18 to Thunderbird on Thursday. The Matadors haven't had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Shadow Mountain saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Shonnie Holland earned four points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for Holland.
Paradise Honors' victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-4. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points per game. As for Shadow Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Paradise Honors hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 60.3 points per game. It's a different story for Shadow Mountain, though, as they've been averaging only 18.1 points. The only thing between Paradise Honors and another offensive beatdown is Shadow Mountain. Will they be able to keep them contained?
