Softball Recap: Acadiana Beats Delcambre for Their Fourth Straight Victory

While Acadiana didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victor by a 14-0 margin over the Delcambre Panthers on Saturday. Considering the Rams have won six matches by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Acadiana, bringing their record for this year to 7-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11.5 runs. As for Delcambre, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Acadiana will take on Barbe at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Barbe is on a three-game streak of home wins, Acadiana a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. As for Delcambre, they will square off against Vermilion Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Delcambre has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
