Palm Valley has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Thursday. They will challenge the Public Safety Academy Phoenix at 4:00 p.m. Hopefully Palm Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Palm Valley really took it to West Shores for the full four quarters, racking up a 58-25 win at home.
Palm Valley can attribute much of their success to Alex Ratner, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 15 rebounds. The contest was Ratner's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan Knott, who scored 9 points along with 6 assists and 6 steals.
Meanwhile, Public Safety Academy suffered a rough 48-27 loss at the hands of Mesa Grande Academy on Wednesday. Public Safety Academy has not had much luck with Mesa Grande Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Palm Valley has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 3-0 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Public Safety Academy, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Palm Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Public Safety Academy in their previous meeting on Thursday, winning 50-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Palm Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
