The Indian River Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 77-47 loss at the hands of Seaford. Indian River has not had much luck with Seaford recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seaford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Omari Nichols, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. Nichols continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Vincent Evans, who scored 19 points along with six assists.
Indian River has fallen quite a ways from their 16-6 record last season and are now at 1-6. As for Seaford, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Indian River will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Woodbridge at 6:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Delaware (Woodbridge is ranked 39th, while Indian River is ranked 57th). As for Seaford, they will head out on the road to face off against Early College at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
