The Rains Wildcats stacked a 19th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Grand Saline 69-28 on the road. Rains is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 18 straight.
Rains found their leader in underclassman Presley Kilgore, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Kilgore is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Haley Robertson, who scored 13 points along with five assists and three steals.
Rains' victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 29-2. As for Grand Saline, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-11.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Commerce the next time they take the court. Grand Saline will head out to face Commerce at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while Rains will host them at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
