The Marble Falls Mustangs''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They suffered a tough 28-7 defeat at the hands of Davenport. While losing is never fun, Marble Falls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 849th, while Davenport is ranked 253rd).
It was another big night for Triston Hamlin, who threw for 212 yards and three touchdowns. Hamlin is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played. Barrett Fallon was in the mix too, providing Davenport with two touchdowns.
Marble Falls' loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-9. As for Davenport, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Marble Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Davenport will square off against Fredericksburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
