Burley posted their closest win since April 26, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Sugar-Salem Diggers 5-4. The five-run effort marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Burley saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Redder, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Mack Haynes also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Burley now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Sugar-Salem, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Coming up, Burley is taking a road trip to square off against Nampa at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sugar-Salem, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Snake River at 4:00 p.m.
