Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chippewa Valley). They claimed a resounding 66-26 win over the Utica Chieftains. Given the Big Reds' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Chieftains are ranked 481st), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chippewa Valley's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points over those games. As for Utica, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chippewa Valley will welcome South Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Lake has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Utica, they will take on Cousino at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
