Otis Crosby and Donovan Clement were among the main playmakers for Moses Brown as the former almost dropped a double-double with 25 points and nine boards and the latter went 6-for-14 to rack up 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and five blocks. The contest was Crosby's third in a row with at least 19 points. Aiden Mobray was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.
Moses Brown smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 16 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Burrillville). They strolled past Juanita Sanchez Complex with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 80-64. The victory continues a trend for the Broncos in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won three in a row.
Burrillville's win came from a few key players Moses Brown will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sean Zanella, who went 5-for-8 on his way to 15 points. Another player making a difference was Dylan Kafalas, who posted six points and six steals.
Burrillville's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Moses Brown, their victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-2.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Moses Brown has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 41.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Burrillville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.9 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Moses Brown came up short against Burrillville when the teams last played back in February of 2020, falling 47-42. Can Moses Brown avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
