Last Thursday, Delta Charter got themselves on the board against Delhi, but Delhi never followed suit. They blew past the Bears, posting a 34-0 win at home. The result was nothing new for Delta Charter, who have now won four matches by 34 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, even though Block scored an imposing 32 points on Friday, Delhi Charter still came out on top. Delhi Charter breezed by Block at home to the tune of 74-32. Considering Delhi Charter has won three matches by more than 37 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Delhi Charter can attribute much of their success to Tayven Carter, who rushed for 222 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries, and Deandra Young, who gained 292 total yards and four touchdowns. Carter really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run. Maliky Dunn also helped out with an impressive 98 receiving yards.
Their wins bumped Delta Charter to 6-1 and Delhi Charter to 4-4.
Delta Charter was taken down by Delhi Charter 46-14 in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Can Delta Charter avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
