Kylee Williams was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ashlynn Bowser, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
Southeastern Local hit Greenon with a four-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Knights came up short against the Trojans, falling 10-2. The Knights have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Greenon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Walker, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Northeastern hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. However, it's not like Greenon struggles in that department as they've averaged .406. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Northeastern skirted past Greenon 5-3 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
