After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Ridgewood, Nutley was happy to have turned things around  on Saturday. They came out on top against the Barringer Blue Bears by a score of  6-3. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Maroon Raiders as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

 Christopher Kovacs looked comfortable as he  tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. Nutley is 2-1 when  Kovacs allows three or  fewer  earned runs, but 3-4 otherwise.
 On the hitting side,  Nichoals Palumbo was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with three  stolen bases and two  runs. Those  runs marked the first that  he has  scored this season.  Gabriel Robriguez was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
The  victory  got Nutley back to even at 5-5. As for Barringer,  they are  on  an  eight-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nutley will welcome Cedar Grove  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Barringer, they will challenge Montclair Kimberley Academy at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
