The Milford Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Little Miami Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Milford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Monday.
Last Monday, Milford was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 38-33 to Winton Woods.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Violet Shuluga, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 13 rebounds. Ella Crompton was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought contest, but Little Miami had to settle for a 50-47 defeat against Loveland on Monday. Little Miami has not had much luck with Loveland recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Tess Trimble put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 14 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bella Houillion, who scored 9 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 2-2.
Keep an eye on the arc in Thursday's matchup: Milford have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 6.2 threes per game. It's a different story for Little Miami, though, as they've been averaging only 4.2 per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out. Milford beat Little Miami 53-41 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Milford since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
