Old Forge is a perfect 3-0 against Greater Nanticoke Area since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Blue Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Old Forge has seven straight victories, Greater Nanticoke Area has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Old Forge proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by seven) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Mid Valley, sneaking past 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Blue Devils have posted since March 28th.

Kamryn Notari spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Joselyn DeStefano was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Arnold, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Meanwhile, Greater Nanticoke Area fell victim to Lake-Lehman and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 16-0.
Old Forge's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Greater Nanticoke Area, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
Greater Nanticoke Area's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Old Forge hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .357. It's a different story for Greater Nanticoke Area, though, as they've only averaged .243. Will they be able to contain Old Forge's hitters?
Old Forge got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Greater Nanticoke Area by a conclusive 15-0 score. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
