Omaha Central has gone a perfect 9-0 against Bellevue East recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Omaha Central Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Bellevue East Chieftains at 7:15 p.m. Omaha Central will be strutting in after a win while Bellevue East will be coming in after a loss.
Omaha Central took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 63-43 margin over Omaha Northwest. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Huskies are ranked 230th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Omaha Central can attribute much of their success to Lenox Haynes, who went 5 of 10 en route to 17 points and eight boards, and Evan Rodgers, who posted 13 points and five rebounds. That's the most boards Haynes has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ike Ackerman, who put up eight points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bellevue East played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Papillion-LaVista South, falling 86-31. The Chieftains have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Carson Taylor was Bellevue East's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Kris Brown held things down on the boards with four rebounds. TayJon Morton-Swift took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Omaha Central's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12. As for Bellevue East, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.
Tuesday's contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Haynes and Brown. Haynes has been dynamite this season: he has averaged 14.2 points and 1.3 steals. For his part, Brown has averaged 14.6 points and 4.9 boards.
