It was a good run, but the Thompson Falls Blue Hawks unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They received a tough blow as they fell 61-43 to Lincoln County. Thompson Falls was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Braden Casazza continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lincoln County, dropping a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds. Casazza is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jacob Lane, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Thompson Falls' loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Lincoln County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
Thompson Falls will be playing in front of their home fans against the Horsemen at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Montana (Plains is ranked 96th, while the Blue Hawks are ranked 72nd). As for Lincoln County, they will head out on the road to take on the Badgers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Bonners Ferry's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 15 games.
