Eastwood's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Eastlake on Friday. Everything went Eastwood's way against Franklin as Eastwood made off with a 19-9 victory. Considering the Troopers have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Amanda Rodriguez was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with seven RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Joselyn Echavarria, who scored four runs while going 4-for-4.
Pebble Hills is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-14 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. Eastwood pushed their record up to 22-2-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Pebble Hills hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .319. However, it's not like Eastwood struggles in that department as they've averaged .405. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Pebble Hills suffered a grim 15-3 defeat to Eastwood in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Pebble Hills avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
