The Reagan Bison were the 52-26 winner over the Sunset Knights when they last played one another back in January of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. Reagan was dealt a 47-20 defeat at the hands of Sunset on Wednesday. Reagan's loss keeps them winless this season.
Sunset can attribute much of their success to Bianca Pancheco, who almost dropped a triple-double on 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 12 steals. Pancheco hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Torrech, who scored 10 points along with 4 steals.
Reagan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Sunset, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Reagan will take on Varela at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sunset, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Coral Reef at 5:00 p.m.
