Johnson threw for 154 yards and two touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes while Standifer gained 191 total yards and three touchdowns. With that strong performance, Standifer is now averaging an impressive 105 receiving yards per game.
Athens Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Standifer and Bryan Mcclendon. Standifer was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 67 yards.
Shaw's victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1. As for Athens Academy, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
