After flying high against Weld Central last Tuesday, Sterling came back down to earth. The Sterling Tigers took a 57-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eaton Reds on Thursday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Reds earlier this season, when they won 68-63.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Thyne, who posted 15 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Linn, who scored 16 points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Sterling smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2024.
