The Dell City Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took down Fort Davis 62-43. That 62-43 margin sets a new team best for Dell City this season.
Reyes Espinoza continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 29 points along with five assists and three steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Dell City's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Estrada, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Dell City now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Fort Davis, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dell City will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Van Horn at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Fort Davis will be home for the holidays to greet Balmorhea at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
