The Red Rock Central Falcons had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They pulled ahead with a 59-58 photo finish over Sleepy Eye. Red Rock Central's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Isaac Simonson was on fire: he dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 17 rebounds, and 10 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Lang, who scored 16 points along with 6 steals and 5 assists.
Red Rock Central's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Sleepy Eye, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Red Rock Central will take on Russell-Tyler-Ruthton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sleepy Eye, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th.
