The Oneida Express won the last time they faced the Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Red Devils, and things went their way on Friday too. Oneida managed a 59-53 win over Vernon-Verona-Sherrill. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Oneida.
Despite the loss, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill still got an impressive performance from Atticus Roque, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Roque scored a full 26.4% of Vernon-Verona-Sherrill's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Drummond, who scored 11 points.
Oneida's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Vernon-Verona-Sherrill, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Oneida will be playing in front of their home fans against Carthage at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Vernon-Verona-Sherrill will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Holland Patent at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th.
