The HEM Miners's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Rock River Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, HEM suffered a rough 40-18 loss at the hands of Southeast. HEM was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-6.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Rock River, who are still winless after their seventh game. They were outmatched by Encampment at home and fell 75-20.
HEM bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.3 points per game. As for Rock River, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
HEM skirted past Rock River 51-49 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Does HEM have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rock River turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
