The Chambers Cougars's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. Everything went their way against West Mecklenburg as Chambers made off with a 65-45 victory. The win was just what Chambers needed coming off of a 70-17 defeat in their prior contest.
Leading Chambers to victory were Nia Kirk and Brianna Redmond. Kirk scored 19 points, while Redmond scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kirk has scored all season.
Chambers' victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for West Mecklenburg, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chambers will take on Hough at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Mecklenburg, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on West Charlotte at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th.
